Desiring to offer the residents of Cleveland and surrounding counties high quality outpatient, orthopedic rehabilitation services, Don Miller, DPT, MSPT, BSPT, OCS, Cert SMT, CSCS, founded Cleveland Physical Therapy Associates (CPTA) in 1996. The mission of CPTA is to Share the love of Jesus Christ through compassionate care and excellence in orthopedic rehabilitation. At CPTA, we strive to achieve this by providing exceptional care and by using our resources to promote healing in the lives of our associates, our patients, and our community.

With this goal as a foundation, we consistently do our utmost to develop and maintain a staff with an exceptional combination of professional education, clinical skill, and heart for service. Many of our therapists have Doctorate degrees, are board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialists, or are in the process of achieving various certifications in orthopedic manual therapy. Only 2% of physical therapists nationwide are board certified orthopedic specialists.

CPTA offers two locations in Cleveland County, NC: Shelby and Kings Mountain. The original Shelby practice is located in a 12,000 square foot facility, which houses an advanced wellness center and a pool. We offer a wide range of services including physical and occupational therapy, an aquatics program, a gait lab and personal training. State-of-the art facilities and highly trained therapists allow us to provide a full continuum of care ensuring the best possible results.
